Accessibility
Everyone should be able to read the menu and place an order.
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, the international accessibility standard that United States courts use when judging whether a business website is accessible. We build toward version 2.2 as well.

What we have done
The menu is real text
All 120 dishes, with descriptions and prices, are ordinary web text with real headings. There is no image of a menu and no PDF-only menu anywhere on this site.
Everything works without a mouse
Every control is a real button or link, reachable with Tab, with a visible focus ring that is never removed.
Images are described
Photographs of food carry descriptions. Purely decorative images carry an empty description so a screen reader passes over them silently.
Contrast is verified by number
Every text and background pairing is measured against WCAG 2.1 AA at build time — 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and interface components — rather than judged by eye.
Form labels are permanent
Labels sit outside the field, stay visible while you type, and are connected to the field in code. Errors are described in words.
Headings are in order
One page title, then sections beneath it in sequence, so heading navigation works.
Motion can be stopped
Any background video ships with a visible pause control, and all motion is switched off for anyone whose device requests reduced motion.
Language and titles are declared
The page language is set and every page has its own descriptive title.
An accessibility menu on every page
The round button in the bottom-left corner of every page opens the free, open-source Sienna accessibility menu: higher contrast, larger text, a dyslexia-friendly font, stopped animations, a bigger cursor, and profiles for specific needs. It works from the keyboard as well as by touch — Tab to the button, Enter to open it, Escape to close it — and your choices carry from page to page. It runs in your browser and remembers your settings on your own device only; it sets no cookies and sends no data anywhere. It is a convenience layer, not a substitute: the page beneath it is built correctly first, and every other claim on this list is about the page itself.
What we are still working on
Third-party ordering
Ordering is handled by outside providers. We have asked them for their accessibility documentation. Until that is resolved, the phone number sits beside every ordering link on this site — call (415) 552-2960 and someone will take your order directly.
Closing times
Our daily closing time is not yet published here because we have not confirmed it. Please call to check.
If something on this site blocks you
Tell us and we will fix it, and we will help you place your order in the meantime. There is always a person at the other end of the phone during opening hours.
